In the summer of 2006, Pastor Charlie and his wife, Coco Lewis, along with their family, moved to the South Shore area with the hope and desire to start a church. No one had invited them to come and no one was there to welcome them when they arrived. But God had called them — and their denomination, The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, sent them to this area to love and minister to the people of South Shore
Charlie is married to Coco (Peterson) Lewis. Charlie and Coco have 4 kids together Trent , Emma , Chas and Jedidiah and Charlie also has a daughter Jesse who has also given Charlie and Coco two wonderful Grandchildren. Charlie and Coco both spend their free time at sporting events for their kids and Charlie is involved many local chambers and civic groups.
Charlie is originally from St. Simons Island, GA and graduated from University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!!!). He entered the corporate world of banking with Barnett Bank in 1989 and was a commercial lender for nine years. During this time, he earned a MBA from University of North Florida. The biggest deal that he cut during his banking days was his marriage to Coco in 1997. Although he enjoyed the business world (minus the suits and ties), God had other plans and led him to graduate from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2000 and become a minister
As a church we are growing both in numbers and in depth. Our community consists of people who have been followers of Christ for some time, those new to the Christian faith, and others who are cautiously curious about Christianity. God is bringing together people who are excited about finding life in Christ and navigating through life with a dependence upon Him.
